My name is Dave, and I am going to be backpacking around the world from 2007-2009. In advance of my trip, I have found a bewildering amount of opinions on the popular travel insurance options available to backpackers and travelers in general.
Luckily, I have spent the last 5 years working for a major health insurance company in the United States, so I’ve learned what to look for in policy language. My goal with this site is to share my experience picking a carrier for my RTW trip in the hopes that it can help others make their choice a little easier. Once underway, if I need to use my insurance, I will share what happens here.
